As our cast jumps into rehearsals for this fall's production of Wolf Hall, we have asked them to reflect on some of the dynamic characters portrayed in the show. This week, we asked our own Anne Boleyn, Maddie Latham, to tell us more about her thoughts on bringing Anne to life on stage:
"I love how complex and controversial portraying Anne Boleyn is, both historically and in the play. She has been painted as a villain so much with far fetched rumors surrounding her; finding her humanity was needed. She might come off as cold or vicious at times but she's still vulnerable and is sailing in uncharted waters. Regardless if you see her as a villain, victim, or somewhere inbetween; she is iconic. Anne has much more to offer Henry than just her looks to make him break away from the church. It's been a pleasure bringing this multifaceted queen to life."
Wolf Hall will premiere at Threshold Repertory Theatre (84 Society Street) on Friday, October 7th, 2022 and runs through Sunday, October 30th, 2022.
